Life is funny!

I have decided that life is just plain funny! I can't think of a day lately that I don't find myself laughing at things the kids do and say. Sometimes it is just me at home and then I want to call everyone and repeat every funny thing to Ben and my parents and to anyone who will listen. I wish I had a little more time and a better memory so that I would be able to write down all these things so that I don't ever forget them. But as fast as one thing happens and I am laughing about it the next one is happening and I did not even have the chance to share the first. People talk all the time about the terrible two's. I think they must have been referring to it being terrible when the kids are no longer two. I LOVE THIS AGE! I want to remember that so when I do have a bad day I can look back and know I really did have fun and will again. So that being said Monday it was time for the twins to take a nap and I put them in bed and apparently they were not ready yet. I was in the living room with Kenzie and heard them talking to each other and laughing and giggling and just generally goofing around. All of the sudden it got very quiet in their room. Then I hear Clayton say to Calvin "are you sleeping, Calvin?" and a long pause with no answer. Then Clayton says "what, you not gonna tell me?" I peek into their room and Calvin is sound asleep! It was so funny!!! They are also super sweet to their sister lately. And Kenzie continues to be the best baby ever!!! She got her first little tooth on the bottom and you would hardly have noticed it. Such a little dolly!! Did not make a big deal out of getting it at all. Hope the rest of them come that easy.

2 weekends ago we had a St. Peter's Family Fun Night at the Hartford Rec. We took all the kids and had a total blast.

We are also super excited about the wonderful warm weather that has been coming! So excited for summer and being outside. The boys are so independent with the things they can do outside now. Only one major/minor injury so far. Cavin got smacked right between the eyes with a hard ball. Luckily it turned out to not be a big deal but sure gave us a scare. Not looking forward to any more posts about summer injuries. Hope everyone enjoys the nice weather and here is to hoping for NO MORE SNOW...

Proud mommy!!

I know I am on a blogging kick and we will see how long it lasts. Today was one of those moments where I am so proud it almost hurts. We took the haul down to Plymouth for my first experience at Regionals for Wrestling. For those of you who are not big wrestling fans or like me just know very little about it - Regionals is how wrestlers qualify to go to State. In brief the tournament is a double elimination with the first place and second place winners advancing to state. Last year Cam went and lost one, won one, and then lost and was out. This year he was in a six man bracket. He lost his first match (very close) but wrestled so great I was super proud anyway. He won his next two and mom was ecstatic. He was then in 3rd place with the possibility of going to state with just one more win. Unfortunately it was not meant to be this year and he did loss the last match. It was really tough!!! He hung on and again made his mommy super proud. Man my nerves were fried and he was just exhausted. I will never understand how they get out there and do that!!! So needless to say he ended in Third place and is an alternate if the first or second place guy can not attend (pretty rare though). So the kid he lost to in his first match was the first place kid and the one he lost to last is the second place kid. He hung right with them and it was sooooo close both times. Oh, it just ROCKED!!! SO COOL!!! Yeah, I think it is happening to me too and I am getting just as hooked as he is!

The fact that he looked right at me to take the picture was so GREAT. Hope I don't offend anyone but come on - it is SOOOO cute and it is not posed - I walked past the door of the bathroom and this is what I saw!!!

32 and still playing dress up!

Today was the big 32nd Birthday for mom. Grandma Grace came over today and we were playing dress up with our doll. I thought I would share the fun we had!!

Ben and the kids were so great to their mom today. I had the best birthday ever - AGAIN! (I say this every year and they keep getting better) When I got home from work last night the Cam had made me a cake and even decorated it. Ben also made dinner for today and it was already in the crock pot so I was super excited. This morning all the kids were up by 6 and Dad went into work later then usual so he was home and the kids gave me gifts and cards in the morning which was a super fun surprise. I got a new crock pot, Wii Fit Plus, Diet Mountain Dew and Microwave popcorn. I loved it all. Grandma Grace came to visit and we played dress up - as you can see from the pictures! The day continued to go well. The twins and Kenzie all took an hour nap at the same time and I actually got stuff done!! Ben's parents came for dinner and my sister in law, brother in law and niece stopped to visit too. It was a great day and now I am going to bed early. No work again tomorrow so that is thrilling also. Yippee for 32!!!

Wow - Time just keeps flying by. Can't believe it is March already. Last weekend was GREAT - At least for me!!! The boys went out to the fishery on Saturday and did not have a lot of luck but they had a good time anyway. Kenzie had a blast with her grandmie and Mom had a absolute blast in Green Bay with my sister and some friends. Sunday Cameron had another wrestling tournament and he did wonderful even without us there. He took 2nd in a 5 man bracket. He actually tied for first but the kid who took first had pinned him and had not gotten pinned so his record was above Cam's. It feels like it was a super busy week this week but nothing out of the ordinary. Kenzie did start sitting this week (still needs a little support with this but wow it happened over like three days) and she also does this weird almost Commando crawl / half roll thing that cracks us up. She uses it to get things that are directly in front of her. Totally cute and funny!

This weekend we are keeping it a little low key. Ben is going out ice fishing Saturday and Wheel Chair Bowling on Sunday. Cam has a birthday party Saturday and a wrestling tournament in Port Washington Sunday. Me and the three little kids are actually going over by grandma Grace to hang out and play at her house for a while Saturday and then on Sunday the three little ones will be hanging with Auntie Wendy and Uncle Wes while Dad bowls and mom hangs with her oldest at the wrestling tournament. Lets hope for a good weekend for all. This awesome weather staying would really be nice!!!

Wanted to share some pictures of the fun we are finding this winter. I can't wait for warmer weather but the boys have found a new hobby. Daddy took all three boys on their first Ice Fishing trip last weekend. They made it most of the day out on the ice with NO fish. Boo.

Then onto this weekend and more Ice Fishing. Cameron and Ben went all day Saturday and had a little success - Total there were four keepers. Sunday Cam and Ben took the twins again for the day. They did great on the ice again. Four more fish! 2 for Cam, 1 for Cal and 1 for Grandpa Gerald. One mishap - Cal stepped into a hole. Nothing to major except for a soaked leg. Next weekend sounds like it should be more of the same for the boys. Mom is going to Green Bay overnight, the boys are attending the Rettler Family/Friends Fisheree, and Kenzie gets a entire day with just her and Grandma Gracie FUN FOR ALL!!

Champion AGAIN!

Real brief update! So my last post bragged about my Champion children and now I am doing it again. This was a weekend I will not soon forget. Cameron received his first FIRST place - Championship at a wrestling tournament. It always seemed to elude him and this weekend with a huge pack of yelling fans cheering him on he DID IT. Not only did he win all three of his matches but he got THREE PINS!!! It rocked. To say the least I was SO PROUD.
