Quick 2 week update!

Kenzie is officially two weeks old today! She had her two week check up and is doing great. She is up to 7 pounds 15 oz. and 20 and 1/2 inches long. I guess all that eating she is doing is really paying off. She is still a very good baby and loves to sleep. She can sleep through anything during the day and actually does OK at night too. We are still adjusting to broken sleep but we are getting by. All the boys are doing great. Cameron starts 3rd grade in one week! I am very ready. He definitely needs the structure and routine of the school year and so do I. I do think the twins are going to miss him during the day though and I am sure I will miss my helper too. Other then that it is crazy busy and I will try to post more pictures soon.

So far SO GOOD!

Everyone here is doing wonderful. We had a super first weekend home with Kenzie and all the boys seem to be adjusting. It sure helps that so far Kenzie has been a great eater and sleeper. Cameron loves his little sister so much and has been the best helper ever. Clayton and Calvin both ask where the baby is all the time and seem interested in her. Calvin asks to hold her a lot and does very well with this. Ben and I are both getting some sleep and that makes this whole process much easier. Kenzie has her first Doctor appointment tomorrow and she will be one week old. It is already going by so fast. I wish I could slow it all down some times. Time to run again. Baby would like to eat!!!

Brief update. Wanted to post some more pictures. Going home today and Kenzie and I are both doing GREAT!!!

SHE'S HERE!

Kenzie Grace Rettler was born yesterday at 12:13 p.m. via C-section weighing in at 7 pounds 12 oz. and 19 3/4 inches long. Kenzie and I are both doing great. Dad and big brothers are all thrilled. We are all very thankful for all the prayers and support from our awesome families and friends.

Happy Birthday to Cameron. He turned 8 today and yesterday we had a wonderful birthday party for him. It went great even with the rain in the morning and then the very warm and sticky afternoon. Cam had a good time and all the other kids did great as well. I took it pretty easy and everyone else helped a ton. We put a little plastic pool under the slide and let the kids go to town. It was so funny to watch. The kids all seemed to have a blast.

Today Ben spent most of the day cleaning up and making sure everything else is ready for the baby. Tomorrow we don't have anything planned. Grandpa Dick is coming to help during the day and then I hoping for a quiet last night at home before baby. Tuesday we are off to meet the baby. Can't wait to fill everyone in on the details!!! Talk to everyone soon.

COMING SOON

Well it is now Thursday and things are coasting along. I saw the Doctor and had a non stress test on Tuesday and things looked real good. No bleeding and baby was very active and responsive for the NST. I requested waiting til next Tuesday the 11th for my c-section and the Doctor did agree to this. I will have another NST on Friday but as long as things go as smoothly as they have this past week we will meet our newest little one in only 5 short days.

The hardest thing lately is arranging my schedule of help. I am still on "bed rest" and have to have help with the kids everyday which is very stressful. We are so blessed to have wonderful families that have bent over backwards to help us at every step. It is still very hard to have other people doing your job everyday. I am a little of a control freak and it is hard to let that go. The boys are doing great and I am sure they are loving all the extra attention from everyone.

The next couple days are going to fly right by us as Cameron's 8th birthday is on Sunday and we are still having his party on Saturday. He is super excited and I am glad it is turning out that we can still celebrate his birthday before the new baby comes.
